Woman dies in a collision on Stone Church and Golf Links Road in Hamilton

Police have more information on weekend hit-and-run

An 87-year-old female died as a result of her injuries in a collision that took place Tuesday In Ancaster. The accident occurred at Stone Church and Golf Links Road. Another person taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Police say they have more information on the driver of a stolen car that seriously injured a 70-year-old man in a hit and run Saturday.  The suspect was believed to have been dropped off in the area of Upper Sherman Avenue and Stone Church Road East by a dark coloured Ford pick-up truck, where they proceeded to steal the vehicle involved in the collision.

The hit and run took place at Upper Wentworth Street and Elite Drive. The involved vehicle, a Subaru was stolen from the area of Upper Sherman Avenue and Stone Church Road East prior to the collision.

Police are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their security cameras between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for any suspicious activity and also asking for anyone driving in the area at that time with dash cam footage to contact police.
