Supercrawl 2020 has been cancelled

As the calendar ticks towards summer another major arts festival has been cancelled due to COVID 19.

Sonic Unyon, the who manage Supercrawl , wrote in a release they were “crushed” the festival will not take place in early September and instead promise “special events” coming in the late fall. 

“We’re working on plans to get together beginning in late fall and running through to early 2021. Look for an announcement in early fall with a fresh slate of happenings,” reads a release.

The release did promise some special events in September, presumably online.

The Supercrawl release said “The safety and wellbeing of audiences, artists, vendors, staff, volunteers, our neighbors and the wider community is of the utmost importance to us. We continue to keep our eyes on the horizon and look forward to gathering with you all again soon.”    

Major outdoor events cancelled so far include Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival, Ribfest ,Ancaster Fair, the Winona Peach Festival, the Dundas Cactus Festival and the Rockton Fair.
