St Joe’s has zero COVID patients

Melissa Farrell, President of St. Joseph’s Healthcare has announced that as of today the hospital currently has no COVID patients.

In a statement Ms. Farrell said, “This is the first time St. Joe’s is reporting no patients in 112 days, when the first COVID-19 positive patient was admitted on March 16, 2020. Our clinical teams continue to provide care to some patients who have previously had COVID-19 and are in recovery. While this is a great milestone for our hospital teams, the pandemic is not over. We want to thank our staff, physicians, volunteers and community partners for their continued support and vigilance.”

Across Ontario there are only 131 people in hospital with COVID-19.
