Slight uptick in COVID cases

Ontario reported that new COVID cases crept above 200 yesterday with 216 new cases reported and 10 deaths. Testing was down to 16,189—a significant drop from recent days where testing was averaging above 22,000 and on one day had spiked to over 27,000 tests. Yesterday Premier Doug Ford criticized farmers in the Windsor-Essex area for not allowing their migrant workers to receive mobile testing. He threatened more drastic measures if cooperation is not forthcoming. Windsor-Essex is the only jurisdiction in Ontario that has been held back from Phase two of the recovery measures.
