Several branches of the Royal Bank in Hamilton and Burlington have been closed in response to the COVID19 epidemic. Other branches will see their hours of operation reduced. A release by RBC stated: “Following the recommendations of public health authorities, we have taken special measures to support the safety of our clients, employees and the community, including:
• Temporarily closing some of our branches
• Reducing hours at most locations
• Controlling branch access, limiting the number of clients entering at any given time
• Providing priority access to seniors, expectant mothers, and people at increased risk during open hours
The statement urges those customers who must go to a branchs to limit their visits for urgent matters that must be done in-person. “We recommend that you first check our branch locator tool to confirm that your preferred branch is open and the corresponding hours of operation.
