Police cuff man who tried to abduct three-year-old in broad daylight

Hamilton Police have charged a male after a brazen attempted child abduction Thursday afternoon.

It was just before 1 pm on Thursday when a male suspect attempted to lure a three-year-old child away from his mother in the area of Mary Street and Cannon Street East in Hamilton.

The male approached the three-year-old boy and attempted to pull him away from his mother who was nearby. Witnesses intervened and the child was unharmed. The man was arrested leaving the area and appeared in court Friday.

The 34-year-old Hamilton male is charged with abduction of person under age of 14
