On LaSalle Park

John Best and Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward talk to Bill Kelly about LaSalle Park. The park is owned by Hamilton and leased by the City of Burlington for a dollar a year. Burlington pays all upkeep costs. Hamilton Councillor Sam Merulla has suggested with the 40-year lease coming up for renewal in 2022 that Hamilton look at realizing the best value of the land before renegotiating the deal.

The motion read:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Corporate Real Estate Office, in collaboration with other relevant divisions, be

directed to undertake a review of the value and implications of alternative disposition (sell,

lease, develop, operate) options for LaSalle Park, and report back to General Issues
