Number of new COVID cases is easing again

The province reported 116 new cases of COVID 19 overnight, returning to the levels of new cases seen in the past week. Yesterdays spike to 170 cases was seen as an outlier due to a testing blitz among migrant farm workers in Windsor-Essex. Seven deaths were recorded in the last 24-hour period. Resolved cases now stand at 88 percent of the total Ontario caseload of 36,464 cases. Hospitalization continues to drop with only 116 patients in hospital province-wide of which 34 are in ICU units and 24 of them are on ventilators.
