No new COVID deaths in Ontario.

Only a couple of months ago Ontario was recording dozens of deaths per day. The worst day came on April 30, when 86 people died due to the disease within a 24-hour period. So it was great news Monday that there were zero new deaths in the province.

Officials confirmed an additional 154 new COVID cases .

The recent infections bring Ontario’s total number of lab-confirmed cases of the disease to 35,948, including the 2,689 deaths and 31,426 recoveries which represents 87 percent of cases that have recovered.

Hospitalization continues to drop with only 118 patients in  hospital-36 of whom are in ICU and 21 of whom are on ventilators.
