New Binbrook school announced

A new public school in the Binbrook Road-Fletcher Road area will soon be a reality for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. It was one of two schools announced for Hamilton –the other project announced will be the replacement of St. James the Apostle Catholic Elementary School.

Education Minister Steven Lecce (l) Joined Flamborough-Glanbrook MPP Donna Skelly  and HWDSB chair Alex Johnstone in making the announcement.

  • The water tower was used for the photo op only. The actual school is down the road at Binbrook Road and Fletcher. The new Catholic Elementary is already under construction in the middle of the new 980 home subdivision being built. The public notice has been posted there for some time as the project was originally approved by the previous Liberal government. The funding was cancelled and re-approved by the Ford government as per this announcement.
