Man sought in Mountain holdup

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit continues to investigate a robbery that occurred on the mountain in early July. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives.

A week ago after midnight , a lone male entered a commercial business located in the area or Upper Wellington Street and Brucedale Avenue East, Hamilton. The suspect approached staff and demanded cash. He scooped up the cash and was last seen running in a northwesterly direction.

During the robbery the suspect claimed to have a weapon although none was seen.No staff members were physically injured.

The suspect is identified as male. Black. 25-35 years of age. 5’9 height’, 140 lbs weight with a thin build.

He was wearing a black toque, dark clothing, a blue surgical mask , white socks and light coloured flip flop sandals.
