Long Border delays at Niagara as Peace Bridge remains closed

Almost nobody heading to Canada, but UD-bound traffic face a wait of over 1 1/2 hours

Niagara residents are feeling sufficient confidence that the worst of the storm is passed  that they are flocking to the US side of the river. The Peace Bridge remains closed so the traffic is concentrated on the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge and the Rainbow Bridge. As a result the crossing at Lewiston is estimated at 80 minutes and the Rainbow crossing will be over an hour and a half. Niagara Regional Police issued the following warning: “Our Niagara Falls officers are reporting significant traffic delays in the area of the Rainbow Bridge.  Those considering travelling to the USA are encouraged to review the border wait times available at the following link https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/border-times-us
