Help Good Shepherd help families in need

Good Shepherd’s Sponsor Our Families event begins accepting donations at 143 Wentworth Street South, Hamilton this week.

Sponsor Our Families is an opportunity to offer support to those who are struggling. For many people, this time of year is a sad and frustrating reminder of the societal barriers they face. Challenges associated with the pandemic and rapidly escalating inflation continue to impact people’s ability to provide for themselves and their families.

Hamilton has experienced a significant rise in households needing assistance since the start of 2020. As a result, Good Shepherd is supporting an increased number of families and individuals this Holiday Season.

Residents can help others by visiting the Sponsor Our Families website – sponsorourfamilies.ca – to choose an individual or family to sponsor, as well as make a choice between physically shopping for the gifts and making a financial donation towards the person’s wish list.

Friday, December 9 – 4-7 p.m.

Saturday, December 10 – 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Tuesday, December 13 – 4-7 p.m.
