HCA opening second entrance to Fifty Point

It is going to be easier to access the beach parking lots at the popular Fifty Point Conservation Area . Beginning on Friday, Canada Day, an additional seasonal entranceway will open at Fifty Point Conservation Area to help reduce congestion at the main conservation area entrance on Baseline Road. The seasonal entrance is located off Kelson Road to permit vehicular access, particularly to the beach area parking lots and would be used during peak summer holidays and weekends.

The new entrance will operate from July 1 to Labour Day weekend, on weekends and public holidays from 9 AM to 5 PM. Hours may vary in poor weather conditions. HCA membership passholders, including marina and campground visitors, may use this entrance. Visitors who purchase a pass before accessing the area will be permitted entrance by showing proof of purchase if they have not yet received their pass.

Boats, trailers and camper RVs are not permitted to enter through this gate.

Staff have been working collaboratively with the Town of Grimsby for this pilot project in 2022. Please note that no parking is permitted along Kelson Road, which is posted as a no-parking zone, and Town of Grimsby parking enforcement will be patrolling the area.
