Hamilton Police roundup: Missing man found. Man on scooter struck

Hamilton Police have located a missing 71 year old man, Roger Bissonnette. He was located under the Queenston Bridge at the Red Hill Valley Parkway. In healthy and safe condition. He will be assessed by paramedics .

Roger had been reported last seen at approximately 9:00pm on July 22, 2022 walking westbound from his residence on Armstrong Avenue in the City of Hamilton. Hamilton Police deployed a drone to assist with the search.

Roger is an avid walker and is known to walk the neighbourhood around his home.

Area residents were asked to check their properties and any out buildings on their properties.

There was concern for his wellbeing because Roger is non verbal and suffers from early onset dementia.

Man on scooter struck

Saturday, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a male riding an electric kick scooter was struck by Honda Civic motor a vehicle travelling northbound on Upper Kenilworth Av near Landron Av. The 20-year-old operator of the Honda stopped his vehicle and contacted 911. 

The operator of the scooter sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital by Paramedics.   He has now been identified.
