Hamilton police charge man with five holdups

A three-day spree of store holdups over the past weekend has come to an end with the  arrest of  a 38-year-old male from Hamilton.

On Sunday, August 21, 2022, shortly before 2:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a panic alarm at a commercial establishment in the area of King Street East and Holton Avenue.

When police got there, the suspect was still on scene brandishing a knife Officers quickly entered into verbal de-escalation with the suspect and cuffed him.

The suspect, Robert Kenneth Condon was arrested and charged with Robbery.

Through further investigation officers were able to conclude that Condon was the outstanding suspect in four additional commercial robberies that occurred in in Hamilton over the past weekend from Friday, August 19, 2022 to Sunday, August 21, 2022.

In total Condon faces five counts of Robbery. He remains in custody.

None of the victims sustained any physical injuries during these robberies.
