Hamilton man in critical condition after mountain auto crash

A late night Canada Day crash has put a 31 year-old Hamilton man in hospital with serious injuries, Emergency Services and Hamilton Police responded for a motor vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles. The collision occurred at the intersection of Upper James Street and Inverness Avenue in the City of Hamilton.

The 31-year-old Hamilton man was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Upper James and Inverness Avenue when he was struck from behind. The driver of the other vehicle initially ran from the scene but was later apprehended. The 31-year-old Hamilton man was transported to hospital and is currently in critical condition. 

Speed and/or impairment have not been ruled out as factors in this collision.
