Hamilton COVID 19 picture remains stable

Hamilton Public Health continues to monitor COVID 19 key indicators and in their update released Wednesday have  rated the situation as “high but stable,” which is unchanged from recent weeks.

Over the past 2 weeks, the 7-day average of new cases remained stable (79 on August 14, and 78 on August 21, and 74 on August 28).

Over the past 2 weeks, the weekly incidence per 100,000 of new cases remained stable (92 on August 14, 91 on August 21, and 86 on August 28).

Over the past 2 weeks, the 7-day average of new hospitalizations has stabilized (2.1 on August 14, and 2.7 on August 21, and 2.0 on August 26).

7Over the past 2 weeks, the 7-day average of new ICU admissions has remained stable (0.1 on August 14, 0.6 on August 21, and 0.3 on August 26).

The 3-point average of viral signal for detecting COVID-19 in wastewater samples has stabilized most recently (data available up to August 21).

Over the past 2 weeks, test positivity has stabilized (16.9% on August 11, 16.3% on August 18, and 16.4% on August 25).

Over the past 2 weeks, the number of active outbreaks has increased (24 on August 16, 22 on August 23, and 31 on August 30).
