Halton Regional Police Service arrest two in sexual assault cases

Halton Police have arrested two men in connection with sexual assaults in Oakville.  Zaid Darkhabani (24) of Oakville has been charged with Sexual assault as well as failure to comply with a release order. A couple of days later Halton Police arrested  Ahmad Amiri (28) of Oakville and charged him with sexual assault.

Both suspects are behind bars pending a bail hearing.

The victims in these assaults were adults and they did not have a previous relationship with either accused prior to the night of the offences. Investigators are concerned there may be additional victims.

Halton Police remind residents there is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault.  This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
