Halton Police nab two in string of high-end auto thefts dating back a year

The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested a suspect in relation to a series of night time break and enters and high-end auto thefts that occurred in the summer and fall of 2021 in Oakville.  The same suspect was also identified as being responsible for four additional night time break and enters and the theft of a vehicle in 2022.

Monday, the suspect was located and arrested by HRPS officers at a hotel in Mississauga.  A known associate of the suspect was also arrested at that time. During the arrest, the suspects were jointly in possession of a stolen Ford truck.  Each suspect also possessed a loaded firearm (see attached photo).

Deshaun Daley (19) of Mississauga has been charged with a string of charges  including break and enter, eight counts of car theft along with firearms charges

Jaidyn Young (22) of Mississauga has been charged with a number of weapon s charges.

Both accused have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
