Four awarded the Order of Hamilton at mayor’s levee

Mayor Andrea Horwath held her first levee as mayor Wednesday at city hall. She used the occasion to  honour four Hamiltonians with this lifetime distinction for their r efforts in volunteerism and community service.

Among the honorees were Bill Custers, Mike Moore, Karen Nelson, and Dr. Steven Zizzo who were all awarded the Order of Hamilton.

The event was the first of sic levees which will continue tonight in Glanbrook and the take place each day in, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Flamborough, and Dundas. Said the mayor, “It would be great to see even more folks come together and celebrate the new year, new beginnings, and outstanding community members.”
