Fired, charged with murder, now Derek Chauvin’s wife is divorcing him

There will be little sympathy  for fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin but two days after he was fired in the death and George Floyd, and a day after he was charged with murder, the wife of the fired Minneapolis officer says she is devastated by George Floyd’s death, and a statement from Kellie Chauvin’s lawyer adds that she has filed for divorce. It was also revealed that Chauvin was involved in the shooting death of Wayne Reyes — a member of the Leech Lake Ojibwe Band in Minnesota. In October 2006, he was shot and killed by six Minneapolis police officers who were answering a call about a stabbing outside a pharmacy. After a car chase, Reyes allegedly got out of his vehicle with a shotgun. According to the autopsy report, Reyes was shot 23 times. According to media reports, Chauvin was one of the officers who responded to the call.
