The London based business journal the Economist Has begun tracking the US election and has developed a complex formula to predict how the current public opinion polls translate into the all-important Electoral College vote, which, as we saw in 2016, is the determinant of who will occupy the White House. Updated daily, the Economists sifts through available polls and combines that data with a set of variables called “fundamentals” to arrive at their predictions. In today’s projection, Biden is ahead of Trump in the Electoral College by a significant margin.
