Hamilton Police have arrested a couple, one on probation the other on a bail order, for a commercial compound entry in Hamilton’s North end.
On Monday, June 20, shortly after 7:15 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Sherman Avenue and Biggar Avenue for an entry into a locked commercial compound after two suspects were observed on video by security.
The suspects were confronted by the on-site security guard, eventually resulting in them fleeing the area prior to police arrival.
As officers arrived on scene, a perimeter was set up and with the assistance of the Canine Unit, the suspects were located and arrested without incident.
Garett Hughes 50-year-old male Hamilton is charged with possession under $5000, assault with a weapon and a probation violation.
Michele Wright, a 55 year-old female was charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000 and failure to comply with a release order
Wright had her bail opposed, as there were warrants for Wright with both Hamilton Police and with Halton Regional Police. Hughes was subsequently released on an Undertaking.
