Charges in Amber Alert abduction

A 44-year-old Hamilton man spent the night in Jail following the abduction of his six-year old son that triggered an Amber Alert. 44-year-old John Mitchell of Hamilton will have a bail hearing today on charges of Abduction in contravention of a custody order and disobeying an order by the court.

When the child was reported missing an Amber Alert was broadcast at 12:30 yesterday. Within minutes the man showed up at the St.Catharines police station with the child who was uninjured.
