CAMA Woodlands International Dish Fundraiser will help seniors get out and about

A fundraiser to support residents of the CAMA woodlands Long Term Care Home was a big success. CAMA Woodlands is a Long-term care Home, which has 128 beds and is located in Burlington.

Staff reported in a note to the Bay Observer, “we strive for resident centered care and enjoyable living. We have many fundraisers throughout the year, to raise money for our Resident Wish Fund. The money raised for the Resident’s Wish Fund, will go to any items that the residents wish. This year the wish is to raise money to purchase our own bus, to bring residents on outings.”

“The International Dish Fundraiser was a huge success this year, all because of the generous donations of food we received from many hard-working staff, and people in the community. We received community donations from Vanna, who lives in Hamilton, generously cooked Cambodian food for us to sell, before her workday. Also MR. SUB on Plains Rd, and Mandarin Restaurant in Burlington.  We had many other staff members also cook an international dish in the morning before work for this fundraiser. In addition, all the staff, family members and visitors who bought the food to support our cause.”

“We greatly appreciate their kindness, love, and generosity. Fundraising was very successful, and touched so many hearts in so many ways.”
