Burlington man faces child luring charges

Second case involving area men in a week

Toronto Police have arrested a Burlington man and changed him with child luring. Police say they were made aware of an incident involving the online luring of a child a week ago. On Thursday, Nicola Colella, 62, of Burlington, was arrested and charged with four counts of Luring a Child Under 16 Years, Invitation to Sexual Touching among other related charges.

Police say a man was contacting children on various social media platforms using aliases “MadeInItalyMale” and “Nico Albertini” as usernames. He made a court appearance Thursday.

Linked In postings suggest Colella held sales positions in construction at various companies in Burlington and Mississauga.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-8500, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.

Last week an Ancaster man who is a teacher in Halton was also arrested on child luring charges.
