Bulldogs welcome Precinct Group

Hamilton Bulldogs owner Michael Andlauer reacted to the news that the Mercanti-led Precinct Group has been given the nod by Hamilton City Council for a redevelopment plan for Hamilton’s entertainment and convention facilities.

The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to see the City of Hamilton move forward with the redevelopment of the downtown entertainment precinct.

I have always supported having the private sector take the lead on managing these aging, yet crucial facilities in our city. There is an alignment in values shared by the Bulldogs and this group, which is doing what is best for the community. We take pride that we do not just deliver OHL hockey to the amazing fans in Hamilton, but through our Bulldogs’ Foundation, we have been committed to giving back to our community.

Today is an important step in moving Hamilton forward and reaching its economic potential. I look forward to the next steps for planning and working collaboratively with this group and the City. We’ve always said that our priority would be to stay in this community. This has been our home for 20 years and we look forward to a plan that keeps us here for decades to come.

Respectfully and Go Dogs Go!

Michael Andlauer,

Owner, Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey
