Bulldogs facing elimination as they host Barrie Monday

In what could be the last chance to see Hamilton Bulldogs playing at First Ontario this year, The Dogs  host Barrie Colts Monday night at 7. Hamilton lost 4-1 in the fifth game in Barrie Thursday, but the game was actually very close with Barrie holding a slim 2-1 lead into the 18th minute of the third period, when Hamilton had pulled its goalie and Barrie’s Brandt Clark scored an empty-netter. And then with 30 seconds remaining in the game, with Hamilton’s net still empty, Barrie goalie Anson Thornton dug the puck from behind his own net and fired a bullseye into the Hamilton net, sending Barrie fans home delirious. So far the home team, has won each game and the dogs are hopeful that pattern holds for one more game, and then is broken back in Barrie.
