The province reported only 33 new cases of COVID 19 overnight, apparently in part due to some duplicate reporting from previous days that was corrected. But even with that correction, which accounted for 21 cases the total would have amounted to 54 cases which would still be the lowest daily counts since March. For the second straight day no fatalities were recorded.
Yesterday, the province processed over 21,500 tests. Hospitalizations jumped from 49 to 60, but ICU cases dropped by 4 to 21 and ventilator cases dropped by 2 to 12.
Health Minister Christine Elliott tweeted, “With 75 more resolved, we continue to see a persistent decline in the number of active cases in the province.”
