Accused killer driver charged as Caisullo family and friends mourn

As the family and friends of Karolina Caisullo and her three children  gathered at their funeral, police arrested and charged the man they say smashed his Infinity into their van killing them all. Sister in law Connie Caisullo talked about  her sister-in-law Karolina and her three nieces — Klara, 6, Lilianna, 4, and Mila, 1 — who were all killed in the horrific crash. “I was privileged to be Karolina’s sister-in-law and tia (Italian aunt) to the three angels.” Meanwhile  Peel Regional Police announced Caledon resident Brady Robertson, 20 — previously identified by sources as Brady Robinson — has been charged with four counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

Police added Robertson also faces one additional count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to a separate incident on June 16 around 8:35 p.m., where a blue Infiniti Q35 was involved in a minor collision at Dougal and Kennedy Rds. in Caledon. Video of that incident, filmed by a bystander, shows the driver apparently passed out at the wheel as rolls through an intersection and a Good Samaritan trying to open the door of the Infiniti. The car then hops the curb and speeds away. The video was widely circulated on social media, including by Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown. Robertson was remanded to a July 23 bail hearing.
