Free summer events in Burlington

After two years of COVID restrictions Burlington is bringing back many free events and programs to residents and visitors.

This summer will feature Concerts in the Park, Kids Mini Fest, Movies Under the Stars and Free Summer Swimming.

Concerts in the Park, presented by the Rocca Sisters

Concerts in the Park are presented by the Rocca Sisters and are every Wednesday and Sunday from 7:30 – 9 p.m. at Central Park Bandshell (2311 New St.) until the end of August. Guests are invited to bring a blanket or chair, pack a picnic and join neighbours for an evening of free music. For a full list of artists visit burlington.ca/concerts.

Kids Mini Fest, presented by the Rocca Sisters

Kids Mini Fest on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is presented by the Rocca Sisters, with special activities provided by Safari Dental. This event offers simultaneous/same level of programming and activities at each location. Residents are encouraged to choose the park that is closest.

Movies Under the Stars, presented by Access Storage

Movies Under the Stars presented by Access Storage will take place on select Thursdays, in July and August at parks throughout the city. Come early and bring a picnic or snack and pick your spot on the lawn for the night. All movies start at dusk. To view dates, locations and movies, visit burlington.ca/movies.

Free Summer Swimming, presented by Access Storage

Free summer swimming presented by Access Storage will happen at select times at various locations and times throughout the summer. For specific dates and times, search “free swim” at burlington.ca/dropinandplay.
