The Ontario Fire Marshal will have two investigations in Hamilton following an apartment fire on Glen Road in West Hamilton that claimed a life. A man in his 30’s was seen hanging from an 11th storey balcony when firefighters arrived. The man fell to the ground and was later declared deceased.
Hamilton Fire crews attended a multiple alarm fire at 44 Glen Rd. Crews arrived to a well involved apartment fire on the 11th floor. The fire was knocked down upon entry and is deemed suspicious. The unit sustained extensive damage. The Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified. Witnesses say a man jumped from an upper floor balcony and was transported to hospital with no vital signs. The Fire Marshal has also been notified about Saturdays blaze that destroyed the four-story warehouse at King Street at Caroline.
