The old courthouse will soon be the new courthouse. as of Monday, August 27, 2018, the Provincial Offences Administration office and courtrooms will be located at their newly renovated and accessible facility at 50 Main St. e., across the street from the current location at the John Sopinka Courthouse. That is the building that for years was Hamilton’s main courthouse.

Acting City Manager Mike Zegarac said the new location “will provide easy access to services for our judicial partners and commuunity as well as support the City’s commitment to meet provincial offences needs.”

The POA office and courtrooms will be closed on Friday, August 24. The office will reopen at the new location on Monday, August 27 at 8:30 a.m. and the courtroom operations will resume on August 29, 2018. During the August 24 closure, online payments for POA offences can be made anytime at www.hamilton.ca/pay-your-ticket.
