Horizon Utilities Corporation recently recognized Mount Albion Foodland for undertaking a lighting retrofit initiative that will save an estimated 53,121 kWh per year.

Mount Albion Foodland replaced much of the lighting throughout the store to improve the appearance as well as becoming more energy efficient by replacing outdated incandescent lighting with new LED refrigerator strip lighting and ceiling LED Troffers. Beyond the significant energy savings, the local grocery store qualified for a $22,840.00 saveONenergy RETROFIT incentive for dramatically reducing the company’s energy consumption.
