It was a New York state of mind for more than 590 attendees at the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation’s New York State of Mind Gala, presented by IBM. The New York-themed event raised nearly $420,000 in gross revenue in support of research at Hamilton Health Sciences.

Proceeds from the event will help fund four key projects including:

• Reducing Post-Surgical Complications for Cardiac Patients at Hamilton General Hospital;

• Implementing Precision Medicine through Cancer Clinical Trials at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre;

• Pediatric Complex Care at McMaster Children’s Hospital;

• Preventing Frailty in Older Adults at St. Peter’s Hospital

A talented lineup of entertainers performed throughout the evening, including R&B singer Ivana Santilli; soul singer Sean Jones; Juno award winner Divine Brown; country singer and television host Beverley Mahood; and singer Alana Bridgewater, all backed up by a 9-piece band.
