The Humble Twin from the Dollar Shave Club is the cheapest option of the company’s three razors; it costs $3.50 per month and comes with five cartridges. The Humble Twin is a cheap, almost disposable-style razor with a handle made of plastic. The handle is very flimsy and doesn’t make for a comfortable shave. The blades are easily clogged, and the head can pop off with very little pressure. If you usually shave with a two-blade disposable razor, the Humble Twin might save you some money; otherwise the 4X and the Executive are far better options.

The 4X or “The Lover’s Blade” is the middle of the three options. The razor looks like your average men’s razor, comparable to a Gillette Fusion or Schick Hydro. It is a four-blade razor, with a moisturizing strip on it.  The shave is much better than the Humble Twin, although the blades can get jammed fairly easily if shaving off course stubble. It gives a decently close shave and the moisturizing strip does help your skin to stay hydrated to prevent razor burn. The biggest downfall of this razor is that the bulky head makes it difficult to get under the nose and other hard to get areas. The price of the 4X is reasonable at $6.50 per month, with that you get the handle and four razor cartridges.

The Executive is the most expensive option from the Dollar Shave Club; it by far gives the best shave of the three razors. It is fairly similar to the 4X, but has two extra blades on the front and a trimmer blade on the back. The Executive gives a close and comfortable shave, and the trimmer blade on the back helps to reach hard to get areas as the front of the cartridge is bulky and is hard to maneuver in small areas. The handle has a good weight to it and has a grip pad for comfort. For $9.50 per month, the Executive comes with the handle and four cartridges.
