How about the McGuinty government sacrificing the sacred cow of constitutionally guaranteed (?) Catholic school boards, and put all of our students into one public school system? This would save huge amounts of money in wasted duplication of staff, governance and facilities.
This heroic change is the kind of leadership that we need to turn the ship around.

Why do I continually hear stories like this about our local leaders? It's discouraging. On the other hand, I regularly enjoy the Waterfront Trail down by the Lake and have benefited greatly from these investments by the Waterfront Trust.

I always thought they unjustly threw the book at Black, even though I'm one of those liberal thinkers he apparently despises. If he and I were to ever meet, there is no doubt we would not like each other. So I'm definitely not one of his "fans". But he generally writes with great lucidity and clarity of thought. Love him or hate him, he's a great read, and after reading this review, I'm definitely going to buy his book.

Well, I'm not sure it would be that effective, John. Kormos said it on Global last night. A slim majority is no majority at all. One member gets sick and the party whip can't find somebody, and there goes the neighbourhood.
