Hamilton HIVE is seeking members of the Hamilton community who are interested in submitting workshop proposals for HIVEX. Hive is looking for workshop leaders to host sessions that will appeal to young professionals navigating business, social, educational, and career development opportunities
Presenting at HIVEX gives community leaders the chance to engage with a young professional network that is both talented and eager to learn new skills. These young professionals are at various stages in their careers and so workshops can focus on issues that affect professionals at these different stages. Last year, HIVEX featured a variety of workshops that centred on different issues including making meaningful connections, social media, and the elements of a savvy media pitch.
Now in its sixth year, the HIVEX conference is the main annual event for Hamilton HIVE, the city’s umbrella organization for young professionals and emerging leaders looking to start or advance their careers. The annual conference will take place Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Cotton Factory bringing together 300 young professionals, including working professionals, postsecondary students, entrepreneurs, and more.
The theme of this year’s conference is Engage with a collective focus on cultivating engagement within the Hamilton community and addressing issues that affect young professionals today. The Engage motif is a sequel to last year’s Connect theme and centres around developing meaningful long-term engagement at both a personal and professional level.
Hamilton HIVE is also seeking community members who are interested in becoming HIVEX partners. HIVE is offering a tiered sponsorship system that involves a variety of benefits for interested partners. To become a HIVEX partner, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
