Bay Observer contributor Kathy Renwald was a winner at the annual Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) awards night in late October. Renwald was a runner-up for the Wakefield Castrol Automotive Writing Award for her review of the Chrysler Pacifica published April in the Bay Observer. An independent jury acknowledged that most winning car reviews feature luxury or exotic vehicles, but Renwald turned her review of the practical Pacifica into a lively and informative read.
Wakefield has sponsored the writing awards for over 20 in the belief that the well-developed vehicle review is vital to consumers’ appreciation of the driving experience. This is Renwald’s fourth Wakefield Castrol Award for automotive writing.
